Personal Training

In years gone by I’ve run the Great North Run (twice) and the London Marathon once, but suffered a setback when inflammatory arthritis prevented me from running. I met Elain over a coffee to talk about whether it would be possible to bring my dream of returning to running alive. She gave me the belief and vision that I needed to start running again and I’ve been having personal training sessions ever since.

 

I have a nutritional plan and a mental plan that will eventually get me back to running 10km, through a series of attainable steps. For the first six months we trained together for an hour, and then increased that to an hour and a half as my fitness levels increased.

 

My experience has been brilliant. Over time I’ve felt more energised and the endorphins are helping to keep my anxiety at bay. Elain has a very positive outlook for her clients which, coupled with her sense of humour and engagement with who you are and where you’re at, leaves you on a ‘high’ at the end of every session!
